Georgetown is a community in the town of Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada and is part of the Regional Municipality of Halton. It is situated on the Credit River, located approximately 60 km west of Toronto making it part of the Greater Toronto Area.
The country setting and easy accessibility to Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington, Kitchener, makes Georgetown attractive for both new residents and visitors. It is part of the Niagara Escarpment with many conservation areas.
Georgetown and surrounding areas are still farmlands but the town is also home of many businesses and artists. It is also well know as home of the Little NHL.
Location: 60km west of Toronto 36km from Pearson Airport
Accessibility: Go train - 1 hour from Toronto 10 km north of highwyy 401 (exit Trafalgar Road)
Directions: From Pearson Airport: take highway 401 West, exit Trafalgar Road north, after 11 km you are in Georgetown. From Toronto: if you are coming from the downtown, take 427 north, exit 401 west, exit Trafalgar Road north. From 401 and Trafalgar it's only 11km to Georgetown. If you are coming from uptown, take 401 West and you know the rest. From Niagara Falls: take highway QEW (changes to highway 403), exit Trafalgar Road north, after 28 km you are in Georgetown.
