 Downtown Georgetown has been undergoing a number of very visible changes, but did you know we didn’t do it alone? The Georgetown community and the Province have been very supportive of the efforts to revitalize our downtown. This extended to Wastewise Community Resource Centre who initiated public recycling in the Downtown by a donation of waste receptacles that provide recycling as well. These 5 waste receptacles have two separate locations – the square one for waste and the round one for recyclables. Halton Region picks up recycling from the businesses weekly, but the public, at events such as our Farmers’ Market and Festivals were unable to put their recyclables anywhere but the trash. That has all changed thanks to Wastewise!
