The children's fitness tax credit allows parents claim up to $500 per year for eligible fitness expenses. A child must be under 16 years of age at the beginning of the year in which the expenses are paid, or under 18 years of age if the child qualifies for disability tax credit.

A 30 minute walk, four to seven times a week will only help your health. You should aim for 10,000 steps a day, and include a brisk walk. To measure how many steps you take, borrow a pedometer from the Halton Hills Public Library. Laughing at counting your steps? So did I, but it’s not such a bad idea. Count it for a few days and you’ll get a picture on how active you are and what steps (haha) you should take to improve your health.
