 What does "eco friendly" mean?Eco friendly house or eco friendly products means that the house or the item do not hurt the environment. Eco-friendly homes are built with quality materials and equipped with solar water heaters, in-floor radiant heating, eco friendly paint. Now, you also have an option to furnish your home with eco friendly furniture. What makes furniture eco friendly ? Regular furniture is made from all kinds of materials that are sprayed with toxic paints or waxes. These become harmful when furniture is thrown away and the toxic materials run out with wastewaters, or they are burned and the toxic goes up into the atmosphere. Eco friendly furniture on is not treated with such toxins, but made from natural materials that do not pose danger to the environment when if thrown away. Most of the eco friendly furniture is made from wood which naturally brings question: How is that friendly when we have to chop down a forest? Well, many manufacturers use recycled old furniture to make new one. Or, the wood comes from forests that are well maintained and protected.
