The program is funded through the Province’s Children in Need of Treatment (CINOT) program and administered here in Halton by the Region’s Health Department.

Who qualifies:
- Ontario residents with a valid Ontario Health Card Number (OHCN)
- youth 17 years of age and under
- youth who have a dental condition requiring emergency or essential care
- youth with no dental insurance and neither, whose parents don’t have any type of dental insurance.

Treatment included:

- emergency extractions
- fillings (last bullet refers to sedation)
- preventive dental care including cleaning and fluoride treatment
- dental health support and information
- out-of-hospital anaesthetic coverage for children/youth prior to their 18th birthday

How to apply:

Call 311, or 905-825-6000 to make an appointment with the Dental Case Worker. The Worker will tell you where is the closest clinic to you. You may go to your dentist, however, check if he/she participates in the Children in Need of Treatment (CINOT) program.
