WHAT IS RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content e.g. news headlines. Using an RSS reader, enables you to view data feeds from various news sources, such as GeorgetownOn with headlines, summaries, even links to full stories.

HOW DO I ACCES RSS?

RSS/News Aggregators:
RSS/News Aggregators (also called Readers) will download and display RSS feeds. You can choose to download a number of free News Aggregators.

Many aggregators are "stand-alone" programs; other serivceswill let you add RSS feeds to a Web page. Yahoo! users for example can add RSS feeds to your My Yahoo! page; you just click on the "Add to My Yahoo!" button.

Weblogs:
RSS feeds are often incorporated in blogs. Blogging as a publishing tool is used for many purposes: traditional journalism, personal journals, group discussions, and combination of these.
